Local sourcing takes precedence as we obtain ingredients primarily from our sister farm, Brooks Bridge Farm. Situated only 26 kilometres away from Limerick city centre, this close proximity not only ensures freshness but also significantly reduces carbon emissions from transportation, making it both practical and eco-friendly.
Moreover, our sustainability initiatives resonate strongly with our target audience, particularly through active social media engagement. Through this platform, we regularly share our journey of incorporating locally grown ingredients into our offerings. Sustainability Ethos
Energy efficiency is upheld with the use of LED lighting. Our commitment to waste reduction is demonstrated through comprehensive recycling practices. Fruit & vegetable peelings and coffee grounds are transformed into compost at our farm, contributing to a circular waste management system. Even eggshells from locally sourced Stokes free range eggs find purpose as calcium-rich fertilizers.
In both Brooks Bridge Farm and The Old Quarter Townhouse, we use solar panels to receive energy and we are harvesting our own water in both the Farm and the Townhouse.
